The following information is a simple guide to the information required to size a commerical water softener.

Daily water consumption

The daily consumption of water determines which commercial water softener you will require from the extensive range of EcoWater Systems commercial softeners.

Incoming mains size

Knowing the incoming mains size is important as it determines whether a 1” or 2” control valve is required and in which configuration (Simplex, Duplex, Triplex or Quadplex) in order to accommodate existing flow rates.

Type of application

The type of application (school, hotel, production facility etc) also has an affect on the model of water softener. For instance, in cases where soft water is required 24/7 we would recommend a duplex configuration as a minimum. However in cases where large volumes of water are used in a small period of time (peak flow) then we would need to install a unit that can deliver the required flow rates.
